Try This: "Low and Slow" Salmon From Steamy Kitchen
Since (gasp) my favorite food porn/idea generating site Tastespotting mysteriously and abruptly shut down last week, I was stuck with no good ideas for a Friday night dinner for 6. I turned to another source of beautiful food photos and recipes (that incidentally, are hilarious and never fail to make me laugh) over at Jaden's Steamy Kitchen. I found this "low and slow" salmon technique/recipe there and it was fabulous- I wholeheartedly recommend it. (And even if you hate salmon or never cook, you should click over just to see how this looks in a really great photo.)

She gives several variations (overachiever!) but I tried the oranges/onions/coriander/mint/macadamia one. I served it over brown basmati rice that had been cooked in mostly coconut milk with a little chicken broth, and a roasted corn-arugula-avocado-apple salad.
The good news re: Tastespotting is that Chuck from Sunday Nite Dinner started up FoodGawker to fill the void. Check it out. Thanks Chuck!
