Father's Day BLTs

For my Dad, there's only one choice for Father's Day brunch- perfect BLTs with lots and lots of bacon for everyone.



We like to lay everything out so folks can make their own. For the best BLTs you need slices of ripe, gorgeous, heirloom tomatoes, a choice of lettuces (we had traditional iceberg plus arugula from the garden, which is my pick), avocadoes, and crusty bread. I like to get a loaf of sourdough, slice it, brush the bread with olive oil, and grill it on the BBQ. You'll need condiments for those who like mayo or butter. Also, you need a HUGE pile of bacon so there is plenty for everyone- no scrimping!



Mmmm.... bacon. *drool.* Happy day-after-Father's-Day to all you dads out there.
