Scale Model Of Blood, Made From Food
I am both a food and science nerd so I'm really enjoying this photo. A biology teacher made a scale model of blood for her class using red hots, corn syrup, sprinkles,
and a couple other kitchen items.

I really appreciate the veracity of percentages in this project. Here's the "recipe" for 250 g of blood:
Plasma
126 g Karo syrup- water: 92%
11 g colored ball sprinkles- fats, proteins, ions, sugar, amino acids, waste: 8%
Cells
112 g red hots- red blood cells: 99%
1 g mini marshmallow (one) and about 3-4 grains white rice- white blood cell and platelets: 1%
Fun fact: if the person was sick there would be a lot more marshmallows in there.
