I'm Legit: 2 Legit 2 Quit

Sooooo, this has nothing to do with food but I kind of just actually became a legitimate (read: paid) blogger for a site that I really and truly admire, and I wanted to brag share. You may know I write about non-food things like art, design, and tech for my other site, the MailboxTees blog, so it's not a total stretch that I'm now writing for Technabob! I have been a longtime reader of the site and am truly honored to have the chance to add my $0.02. Which is also cool because it means that now more than like 7 people will read what I write. Or at least, that's the theory.
To make this post legitimately food-related I also want to let y'all know that my dear old friend Hal B. Klein, who like me is sort of a jack-of-many-trades, has begun writing an awesomely low-key and helpful food blog that I really enjoy, called This Man's Kitchen. Early on in our friendship, maybe 13 or 14 years ago, I went to his apartment and noticed that he had painted his TV and several other household appliances with bright orange house paint and I knew right then he was the kind of pal I was looking for. What I love about his approach to food writing is that interspersed with delicious-looking recipes, HBK takes time to break down some techniques with terrific posts on things like thickening and browning, which I think is super helpful for kitchen newbies and experienced cooks alike. I wholeheartedly recommend you add it to your reading list!
And tomorrow I promise I'll write about food again and stop with the shameless self-promotion.

Congratulations, and thanks for the heads up about your friend's site.
