Thursday Restaurant Review Haikus: Pleasing the Palate in Palo Alto
today in Thursday Restaurant Review Haikus:
Pleasing the Palate in Palo Alto

The Stanford Theatre on University Ave. plays old movies on the big screen, with an organ player, and the popcorn is only a buck!
I'm sitting in a cafe in Palo Alto as I write this, and I ate dinner in Palo Alto last night, so it seems appropriate to focus on food choices in this burg of wealthy young geeks, wealthy old geeks, and Stanford bros and hos.
************************
Evvia Estiatorio
420 Emerson St. - website
Kokkari's sister,
upscale Greek, rustic setting.
reserve! then pay lots.
************************
Fraiche Yogurt
644 Emerson St. - website
mmm homemade yogurt
not just frozen, fresh also.
pricey, but yummy
************************
La Bodeguita del Medio
463 S. California Ave. - website
pretty good Cuban-
mojitos are a hit, but
food's only O.K.
************************
University Cafe
271 University Ave. - website
cafe con laptops, yo
epitomizes P.A.
serviceable brunch
************************

If you're in P.A again, try Siam Royal for Thai. I've found their food to be tastier and closer to the food we ate in Thailand...
