Bacon-Wrapped Clif Bars?

This is a phone conversation I had on Sunday morning with my friend Roberto.

Karen: Let's go to the gym later.
Roberto: No let's go now. But we have to get coffee first.
Karen: Come to my house and drink coffee so we don't have to buy coffee, and then we can go.
Roberto: I read in a health magazine that you work out more effectively if you drink coffee within 1 hour before working out.
Karen: (Eyeing pan full of already frying bacon) What about bacon- do the health magazines say anything about that?
Roberto: Mmm bacon, que rico.
Karen: I have bacon already, but on second thought, we could give it to Ross and eat a Clif bar instead.
Roberto: No! We should wrap our Clif bars in bacon... extra protein.

And that is how great ideas are born.

Follow-up note: We didn't bother with the Clif bars because who wants to adulterate bacon with nutrition? But it turns out coffee + bacon pre-gym totally gives you energy to work out regardless of what any magazine says or thinks. Apparently a slice of cooked bacon has about 50 calories. So 15 minutes of cardio knocks out each piece. So if you have 2 pieces of bacon, you can knock it off in 30 minutes. However most people in this story are not the type to only eat 2 pieces of bacon but whatever.
