Green Beans With Bacon

Our stupid annoying organic produce delivery service gave us a big huge bag of green beans, AGAIN. We had some bacon so I made this as a side dish. It's very easy and tasty.

Green Beans with Bacon
Ingredients:
  • about 4 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
  • a couple handfuls of green beans, trimmed

Method:
  • Cook the bacon til crispy. Pour out almost all of the fat but leave the bacon in the frying pan.
  • Meanwhile steam the beans in a little bit of salted water in a pan with a lid on it until the beans are bright green and a bit tender.
  • Add beans to bacon and cook, flipping, for about 1-2 minutes. Season with pepper if desired; it probably won't need salt because the bacon is salty.
