It's Xanh-tastic
I like to have a few good restaurants in my repertoire that are outside of where I normally hang out- in case I find myself there for some reason. Since my friend Sharoni lives in Mountain View, I have had the opportunity to be pleasantly surprised by some of the truly great restaurants down there!
But my favorite is Xanh.
It's Vietnamese fusion and they have some great dishes. Our favorites are the Mellow Yellow noodles and the Shaking Beef, but you pretty much can't go wrong there.

If you have never been to Mountain View, it's actually really cute and they have a cool farmer's market on Saturday mornings. All of the commerce is on Castro Street, which is right by the Mountain View CalTrain station as well. So if you are up for a contained adventure and learning about yet another vibrant, ethnically diverse, foodie-friendly community in your general area, hop the CalTrain, meet up with a South Bay friend, and check out the place Google calls home.
